Christie to Buffett: Shut-up and Write a Check
One thing you have to admit about New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, he speaks his mind.
In an interview with CNN he said that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is "too reserved" which is hurting him with voters. And remember, Christie is Romney's top surrogate and supporter in the GOP presidential race.
Christie didn't stop there. He noted how Warren Buffett, the Oracle of Omaha, the man behind the Buffett Rule, keeps talking about he shouldn't be paying less of a tax rate than his secretary.
Chrisitie's advise to Buffett?
"Shut-up and write a check."
I wonder if Buffett follows the Governor's advise if he will also pony up the $90 million in back taxes he has owed since back in the 90s? Buffett fought paying up for over a decade what he owes.
In case you are curious, the most recent polls show that in the event of a brokered convention for Republicans this August in Florida, Christie is the top choice.
From the Cornfield, my hat's off to the bigger-than-life New Jersey chief executive officer.
