    JFK terminal 7 - British Airways shut down for hours for suspicious package - huge delays reported

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     unclaimed, of Manhattan, New York, is finally on his plane now, waiting to take off. All flights in terminal seven at JFK Airport were delayed because of a package that was discovered. 'They had evacuated the terminal and they held everyone until about 8 a.m.,' he says. 'Then at that point all of the airlines had to re-check everyone in and rescreen all the passengers. They are now still in the process of doing that.' unclaimed says none of the other terminals were affected but flights coming in to terminal seven were diverted to other terminals. He says although they have not taken off yet, airlines are pushing their planes out in fear of losing their slots to take off.

    Huge delays to the street for all passengers to be re cleared for security. Arriving flights diverted to other terminals to deplane. Expect hours to clear security..
