Europe's deadly cold blast |
Sunshine after the snowstorm
- jmsaba, CNN iReport producer
Finally the sun is shining again in Italy. This year was the worst snowstorm Italy had seen in decades. Everyone and the various cities were totally unprepared for such a catastrophic event.
The damages, calamities, losses, and disasters were devastating. If we add this to the precarious economical situation Italy is going through, the picture is really depressing.
Luckily this week the sun started shining and the forecast is good. I am now in Italy and I thought I was going to suffocate under all that snow. There were at least 3 metres of snow in front of my doorstep I was literally trapped for 3 days,In the end I finally survived.
