    Sunshine after the snowstorm

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     acapicchioni shot these photos of the snow-blanketed town of San Marino, Italy, beginning to thaw out following weeks of severe winter weather across Europe. 'I was trapped in the house for 3 days and I had to send photos and an article to the local newspaper in order to be liberated,' she said. 'It was a terrible experience which I would not wish for my worst enemy.'
    - jmsaba, CNN iReport producer

Finally the sun is shining again in Italy. This year was the worst snowstorm Italy had seen in decades. Everyone and the various cities were totally unprepared for such a catastrophic event.
The damages, calamities, losses, and disasters were devastating. If we add this to the precarious economical situation Italy is going through, the picture is really depressing.
Luckily this week the sun started shining and the forecast is good. I am now in Italy and I thought I was going to suffocate under all that snow. There were at least 3 metres of snow in front of my doorstep I was literally trapped for 3 days,In the end I finally survived.
