    Triple Conjunction over Los Angeles

     

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     defmatnyc, a photographer in Los Angeles, California, said this was the first time he saw the moon, Jupiter and Venus in alignment. He shot this timelapse Saturday between 7 and 9:30 p.m. from his balcony in Silver Lake, east of Hollywood.

    The planets Jupiter, Venus and the Moon are seen in whats called a Triple Conjunction. They will be in close proximity to each other on the nights of Saturday and Sunday Feb. 25 and 26..The Time lapse is aprox. 2 hours in about 21sec's.
