CNN PRODUCER NOTE     eresa, of Valenzuela City, Philippines, greatly appreciated how students participated in the Makati street parade. 'It concentrated its purpose on promoting and educating people that we need to take care of our environment and how beautiful and important it is to maintain it,' he says. 'We as people of the world should be responsible enough to take part in any way we can in showing the importance of protecting our environment -- it's our children and future generations who will benefit from it in the end.' He says the street parade was a competition and a group of high school students in Makati competed with various acts and costumes.
