The No.1 DJ in Singapore, DJ JT launches New Website to Connect with Fans

DJ JT, better known as “The Remix Master” has launched a new design for his website, dj-jt.com. The updated look and interactive features are designed to showcase his work while getting feedback from fans and letting them know about upcoming events. Fans can also browse the site’s music archives and download their favorite performances and remixes by DJ JT.

Born in Singapore with a passion for all genres of music, The Remix Master especially gravitates toward electronic music. “My appetite for music is endless. I love it all – trance, electro, dubstep, techno. Anything with a nasty bass line, and I’m there” says JT. His musical journey led him to composing his own beats, dance and trance tracks. DJ JT’s passion for music has taken him across the globe, and he has performed in clubs all over the planet, from The Guvernment to Tunnel, from Webster Hall to Lush. Featured on radio stations across the globe.

“Throughout my career, I have appreciated and am very thankful for the support from Sirius XM BPM, Native Instrumentals, 102.7 KIIS-FM, HOT 97 FM and Trance FM. I also know that my success would not have been possible without the love and loyal support from my fans, who continue to be the heart and soul of my passion. For that I am humbled and eternally grateful.”

While dance/electronica music is heard in the background in nightclubs, Internet communities such as Beatport and hyperactive car commercials, alongside pop, rap, country, and R&B, some would argue it is a genre swimming underneath the mainstream. On the other hand, in drawing 250,000 fans to festivals such as Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival in June 2011, artists such as David Guetta cracking the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and a diverse nominee slate for 54th GRAMMY Awards, perhaps the dance/electronica genre is nestled comfortably as a part of mainstream music.

Since Grammy nominations were announced in November 2011, some have called that the watershed moment for dance/electronica music at the GRAMMYs, with dubstep artist Skrillex garnering an impressive five nominations, including in the prestigious Best New Artist category. And for the first time ever in the history of the GRAMMY telecast, dance/electronica music was highlighted with a special performance featuring Deadmau5 and David Guetta with Chris Brown, Foo Fighters and Lil Wayne on the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards. This special segment is only an extension of The Recording Academy’s embrace of the dance/electronica genre, following the installation of the Best Dance Recording category in 1997. (Grammy.com)

Globally recognized DJs such as JT are now in a position to break out of the mainstream shadows and claim their place at the roundtable that sets the pace and taste for the music world at-large. Exciting and engrossing remixes, unique blends of sounds and vocal pieces have created an undeniably potent music culture once reserved for the shadows…not anymore and DJ JT is the anchor of the EDM movement coming from Asia, for example his more than 300,000 Twitter followers and the fact that his recent Katy Perry “Part Of Me” remix garnered nearly 14,000 plays in just two days speak volumes to the overwhelming popularity of this DJ.
