    Harrisburg, Il. damage

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Smileybecca was sleeping before her shift yesterday at a medical clinic in Harrisburg, Illinois, when she was jolted awake by a powerful tornado tearing through the area. After the storm passed, she went to work with local rescue teams to assist survivors of the catastrophe, and took these pictures of the aftermath. 'I'm just really proud of my community, watching the way doctors nurses and rescue workers came together. People came in from all around, it was very impressive to see people do this, knowing that so many of us had just lost so much,' she said.

I work at a medical clinic right behind the hospital. Once I reached the area I almost wasn't allowed to get through.
I left for a few hours to help a people in the area and took these pictures on the way. It was amazing to see all the people working together today to help those who lost homes or suffered injuries.
