    Awake Premiere

A brand new drama/thriller just premiered called "Awake". Starring Jason Isaacs as Detective Michael Britten. As he was driving home with his wife Hanna and son Rex they got into an accident where the car rolled over and down an embankment. The next scene showed Michael and Hanna at the funeral of their son Rex. Soon after, Michael and Rex were at the funeral of Hanna.

Each morning Michael wakes up to a different reality, he wears a green band on his wrist if the reality is Rex, a red band means the reality is Hanna. Both are alive in their respective realities.

Michael's two worlds are also seen in his work as a detective, in one he has Detective Efrem Vega as a partner, who in the other reality is a uniformed cop. The detective in his other world is Isaiah Freeman, but he is actually in both of Michaels worlds. In this episode even though Michael was working two cases, the cases entertwined with each other, confusing both of his partners.

Michael is seeing two different shrinks, with two different opinions of what is happening to him.

Attention to detail is good, in one reality Michael woke up and couldn't find Hanna, he used a knife to cut is hand to make sure he was awake. Hanna showed up and wrapped his hand, the next day, when it was a "Rex day", the bandage was gone.

This show reminds me a bit of "The Sixth Sense". Somebody is dead, but who? I was pretty wrapped up in this premiere, I hope Awake stays exciting.

Be sure to watch Thursday nights on NBC.
