March 2, 2012 Palmyra IN Tornado

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     crash446, of Palmyra, Indiana, was heading home to pick up his granddaughters from school when he saw a wall cloud a few miles away and knew a big storm was brewing. 'I was trained as a weather forecaster while I was in the airforce and as soon as I saw the clouds, I knew that it was starting to form. I basically took my phone and started filming as I was driving,' he says. They were two miles from the tornado, which was in Pekin and Henryville, and experienced about 60 to 70-mile winds. They waited at the school to see if they needed to seek shelter. 'I knew the way the storms were tracking, they were pretty much going north, northeast,' he says.

This was filmed approximately 3pm March 2, 2012 in front of Morgan Elementary School in Central Barren, IN. This is possibly the second Tornado that moved through Northern Harrison County and into the Pekin and Henryville areas. You can see the hook signature of this massive storm.
