Wall Painting 5 March 2012 Egerton Road Lahore

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     munawarahmed, of Lahore, Pakistan, says when he got to work on Monday morning, the city walls had completely changed -- from vandalized brick to meaningful art. 'The whole streets of Lahore, people destroyed the walls. So the government decided to paint the walls with these colorful paintings,' he says. The paintings are all about the culture of Pakistan and were done by college students from art institutes. 'They did it on Sunday, from morning to evening,' he says. 'It's a good initiative by the government of Pakistan to save the walls.'
