    Women of Indonesia

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GregnTrees1 says he captured these images of Indonesian women through the span of nine years all across the country. Most of the women featured in his photographs are tribal woman. He believes women within Indonesia have help shape the country through many facets. "I think Indonesian women deserve respect and recognition," he says.

    The changes in Indonesian society that are affecting the roles of women in Indonesia today include increased modernization and globalization, better education, and advancing technology .

    Many women in Indonesia choose to reside in cities instead of staying in townships to perform agricultural work because of personal, professional, and family-related necessities, and economic requirements.
