Peace on Earth One-Year Anniversary of 3-11-11 Quake at Hibiya Park, Tokyo

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     criswilliams told me, 'The mood was very solemn. Many were crying silently. There was also a mutual feeling of respect among the audience. Respect towards those affected, and respect towards those who weren't directly affected, but still attended the ceremony.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

The ceremony took place in Tokyo at Hibiya Park. It commemorated the near 20,000 who lost their lives to the March 11, 2011 9.0 Earthquake. A very, very large amount of people came. There were also many foreigners present among the crowd. Guest speakers spoke, and at exactly 2:46 a kane was sounded, marking the exact moment last year when the earthquake struck. "Mokutou" was then announced, and praying began.
