    Stop Facebook Farmville Invitations---NOW !

    By Mark Snipes, OurTown Columnist,

If you are like me, and over ten million other facebook users, we are elated to be able to connect with family and friends from around the world.

Facebook has created a platform for many of us to reunite with those from yesteryear. Its also a great tool to pass along recent news, family information, pictures from the past weekend, and some crazy jokes, from time to time.

Facebook is also a business vehicle for sharing new products and services that might be of interest to some customers and family members.

One thing is for sure, I do not go to facebook to play some silly game named Farmville !

However recently, there have been a relentless number of invitations to games and other kinds of gaming activities. Most of these are from friends who say they do not even play.

So, with this information, it seems to give rise to some sort of FB virus.
Here's the thing, if you want to shut down Facebook Farmville for good, then follow these steps below, and tell your FB friends how to do it.

1.) Login to your acct., then go to Accounts on the top far right corner of the page, and click >

    2.) Privacy Settings >

3.) Under Apps and Websites...Click on Edit Settings...Then Click on Edit Setting again Then remove the App.

4.) If there is a wall post, there should be an (x) next to it.

5.) Click on the (x), then select the option to block or remove that app, (i.e. Farmville B.S.)

Please leave a comment below, and have others do the same, if this little piece of FB knowledge has helped you stay off the farm !
