Your April Fools' Day pranks
Apple Microsoft Merger
The story as it appeared on the blog:
'When hell freezes over,' used to say Steve Jobs when asked about anything Microsoft or Windows related as it would apply to his Apple. But then global freezing of hell did begin to show its subtle signs. First, there was the switch to Intel. Then came making iTunes available for Windows users. And more recently, one can run Windows on a Mac. I don't know why . . . but it is there.
These are all steps that Apple took to get closer to Microsoft. What has Microsoft done? Well, it now appears that after the latest Vista debacle, Windows is developing an OS X version that would run on PCs. And as if that wasn't ballsy, Bill Gates announced this morning that Steve Jobs and he have been engaged in talks over the past few weeks about a possible merger. In fact, right after the U.S. Justice Department's approval of the recent XM-Sirius merger, they decided to publicly make an announcement that Microsoft and Apple will become one.
What will the new company be called?
SoftApple? AppleSoft? Microsnapple? Or not in our lifetime!!!
Relax! . . . Happy April Fools' Day!
