Queen Elizabeth II visits Leicester Cathedral

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     amusiyiwa got the chance to document the kickoff of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee tour in Leicester, England, because he is working on a film project with the Zimbabwe Association Choir, one of several groups invited to perform at the celebration. (See his extended footage here.)

'The images ... will stay with me for a long, long time. I never thought that there would come a time when I would be that close to the Queen, to the Duchess, to Prince Philip. They are people you see in the newspaper, you see on TV. I just couldn't believe it.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by Prince Philip and Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, visited Leicester Cathedral and St Martins House in Leicester on 8 March 2012 as part of her first visit in her Diamond Jubilee National Tour.
