    - rachel8, CNN iReport producer

March 17 marked the six-month anniversary of Occupy Wall Street, which began in Zucotti Park last September 17. Although the mass protests had contracted over the winter, today hundreds gathered in lower Manhattan to mark the renewal of OWS.

"It's a beautiful day for a revolution," remarked one man, and indeed it was. The sun was shining and the air was crisp when people gathered and marched in the early afternoon. Shortly after returning to the park, NYPD made a handful of arrests.

Later in the evening, NYPD moved in to close the park. Occupiers linked arms and staged a sit-in. Dozens were arrested.
