    Winter Storm Hits Northern Arizona

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     azchila shot this video Sunday on Highway 69 in Prescott Valley, Arizona. 'It was in the 70s just a day before all this winter weather hit, so it came by surprise for sure,' she says. 'The freezing fog was strange and a bit eerie. I almost pulled over on a stretch of it because it made it hard to see the road.'

About a foot of snow had fallen by Monday morning, and she says, 'One would think we were in the dead of winter by looking at the amount of snow everywhere. The flowers, trees and bushes are all covered.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

A winter storm hit Northern Arizona Saturday and continues to slam the area with snow and frozen fog. Prescott has seen at least 4 to 6 inches in the downtown area alone and the snow just keeps coming, not expecting to taper off till Monday evening.

Although Prescott is not a stranger to snow, what makes this storm different than the rest is that came in the middle of March when not more than a few days ago it was sunny and in the 70's.
