WHY ROMNEY WILL HAVE TO ENDURE BROKERED CONVENTION
Mitt Romney has joined John McCain in denouncing Super Pacs and decries them for dragging out the campaign. Too late. For months, Romney has been seen as the poster child for super pacs. Super pacs are the antithesis of the myth Obama created of a man running for President on the dollars of Everyman.
Add to that the fact that he doesn't have the personality that inspires people to carry him on their shoulders to victory. And his policies are, at times, slippery, and difficult to pin down.
Democracy is indeed threatened by super pacs and thereby, it seems, Mitt Romney. With other Republican primary contenders on the receiving end of super pac money, the entire party is tainted.
