One year since Trayvon Martin's death

    Boy armed with skittles!

On February 26th 17 Year-old Trayvon Martin was found shot and killed in Sanford, Florida. A Crime that leaves a Nation speechless and yet some people don't seem to care. But why doesn't the Fact that a 17 year-old High School Student with a bag of skittles and a bottle of iced tea in his hands was shot and killed bother some people.

Why did self appointed Neighborhood watch leader George Zimmermann shoot the Boy? Zimmermann says he had to defend himself, he didn't shoot because Trayvon was an African-American. And still Police doesn't seem to care about racial slurs that can be heard while Zimmermann was talking to a Police Officer.

In the Moments before Trayvon was killed, he was on his phone talking to his girlfriend. He told her that a man was watching him. His girlfriend asked him to run, but Trayvon said he wasn't going to run. Only seconds after Trayvon noticed the man, he was shot and killed.

So Once again We're facing the question if the “Stand Your Ground” Law is justifiable. It's sad that so many people are still defending the “Stand Your Ground” Law. How many lives does it take until we realize that we have to change something!
