This iReport is part of an assignment:
McCain's big night: Your reaction |
Sarah Palin
I have never really had much interest in politics, although I worked in for many campaigns growing up, only because my mother was very politically involved. This election grabbed my attention and intrigued me. I origionally was a big Obama supporter, however, after lastnights speech by Governor Palin, I have done a complete 180! She is strong, intelligent, funny and compassionate. As mother of three, 44 yrs old myself, a past president of the PTA for 14 years, a soccer mom, and considering having another child as well, I can completely relate with her. Obviously with my age there is concern about having a special needs child and it is nice to know there will be someone there in my corner if that happens. The press has made a mockery out of her personal family situation and beat it to death. These are her children. Her blessings from God. How dare they judge her or her parenting ability. As the mother of 3 teenagers, I know full well that you can teach them values, morals and right and wrong but at the end of the day, when they are 16,17, 18..they think they are invincible, that they know all there is to know and that things won't happen to them. I think that she is a wonderful person and mother and handled the situation as any good mother would. standing by her daughters side with love and support because that is what her daughter needs. What a strong woman to go into such a position with such huge responsibilities already on her plate. If she can run a family of 5 she will have no problem running a country! Go Sarah..you have my vote!!
