Life with autism: Share your story |
My Life with Asperger's Syndrome
My name is Karen Willis, I'm 20 years old, and I live in Alabama. I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (a mild form of autism) when I was 4 years old. I've been spreading autism awareness and educating others about autism. I also compete in Special Olympics in swimming since I was 11 years old. I want to help familes that have kids and adults with autism and to the familes that have kids that have autism or had been recently diagnosed with autism, don't give up because it will get easier with time and patience. I've overcome alot of challenges in my life and I know that my future is bright even though I'll still have challenges to face but it's not going to stop me from living my life.
