Animals in fashion |
Jungle Love for CNNiREPORT
I bought this "Jungle Love" dress at a stand for second hand clothing bargain. In our vernacular, we call it "Ukay-ukay" -- 'to dig,' because folks would dig into a pile of clothes just to find any hidden gem.
This dress is a little expensive than in the piled ones,I did not have to dig because it's already on a hanger. I was on my way to the market when it caught my eye. I grabbed it right away even if I was not really into animal prints. Then I figured, it must be glamorous on me.
Unfortunately, there had been no special occasion to wear it. So, I kept it in my wardrobe(Philippines) for years. I brought it with me after my annual leave last year, hoping I could wear it here(which is impossible).
The leopard print of this dress is quite simple that it can go with anything. I incorporate it with a pair of dark gray "hush puppies" shoes, a pair of gold earrings, a green "red tag" bracelet and my mother's antique stone ring
I almost laughed out loud when I saw this assignment only to find out that this dress is meant for CNN iREPORT. Finally I get to wear this dress on a very special occasion.
