    Newt's Volunteers Keep Fighting

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Mahariffic, a campaign volunteer for GOP presidential contender Newt Gingrich, shot these interviews on March 31 with fellow volunteers in Lexington, South Carolina. Though Gingrich's campaign is struggling to find traction, she says that these volunteers are still deeply committed to the campaign. 'I honestly believe that Romney may not reach the number [of delegates] he needs. That’s what I really feel, and that all of the other three candidates will have a place on the stage. That’s where I see Newt’s contribution, to motivate the American electorate, frankly in all parties, and help bring decision-making back to where it belongs, the people and the people who most closely represent them,' she said.

    Volunteers for Newt Gingrich are fewer but still determined to support and promote their candidate. Three volunteers met in Lexington, SC, March 31 to call voters in Maryland and discuss what motivates them.
