    Autism and Me

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jtriassi says autism 'cannot and will not stop me.' While she is sensitive to noise, and struggles with social cues, she feels Asperger's Syndrome has been a gift. She likes being 'quirky and different.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

My name is Julia Triassi and I have an autism spectrum disorder
One thing I want the world to know about autism is that its one of the most unique disorders, but I am glad I have it, It is also very interesting to me
Autism cannot stop my dreams and aspirations I am currently in college studying photography and my professors say I do well, yes it is hard having autism sometimes but If there were a “cure” I would not like to be “cured” I am me

When I transfer colleges this fall I would like to do a double major (visual arts/ photography and video) and (humanities so I can help others with aspergers by doing therapy with them) I am an advocate for hose who cant be an advocate for their selves. So don’t judge people with autism and think everyone on the spectrum is alike.
