Coke apologizes for "Midget" geared marketing snafu

    Atlanta GA
In an effort to appear more "Accommodating" to those with special needs, Coca-Cola released a new version of their popular soft drink geared toward the, let’s just call it "Vertically Challenged" says Tom Bradshaw, PR Watchdog President. "It's apparent that Coke wasn't intentionally trying to disenfranchise anyone with the launch of its new product line" Tom says... "The bulk of the marketing campaign was geared toward events and places where "Midgets" typically congregate like the circus, wrestling events and children’s clothing stores.
The NMA (National Midgets Association) called the new product “Disturbing yet Delicious”… He went on to say “Coca-Cola has always had a hard on for our market… Ever since that show “Little People” came out Coke has always been trying to find a way to exploit us and our love for addicting soft drinks”. “This however was probably not the best way to do it… I mean, I love the stuff and it fits in my tiny hands but it’s just so thoughtfully disturbing that I have seriously thought about cutting myself”.
Coca-Cola announced that it had no plans to stop producing the product but that they would no longer brand it as “The Midgets Choice in Soft Drink Cannage” and remove the 4 foot ground level advertising boards from the porn shoots located throughout California they had just put up.
