Easter Parade on New York's 5th Avenue.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JoelGraham says the Easter parade in New York City had a festive party atmosphere because so many people were roaming around. He says there were a handful of people who were dressed up for the parade. 'People would stop and pose while hundreds would snap photos,' he says.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Thousands of people strolled along 5th Avenue in New York City today in the city's annual Easter Parade. Beneath the spires of St. Patrick's Cathedral, the crowd enjoyed perfect weather as they turned out in their Easter best. Women wore their hats, bonnets and colorful dresses while others donned elaborate festival costumes to celebrate the holiest day in the Christian religion. Smiling people were more than happy to pose for photos. Some parade goers have attended the event for years and children and teenagers joined the fun for their first time as well.
