McCain's big night: Your reaction |
Same Old Politics by the Grand Old Party
The issues that they discussed and did not discussed and the implicit and explicit tones of her speech were absurd and the smurks by the republican base indicated the divisivness of the country. I surmise there is a reason they are called the "Grand Old Party" and it brightly showed last night.
As you and others have denoted, community organizing on a grass-roots level creates change, solidifies change and is the embodiment of how this country has witnessed tremedous evolution from slavery to women's rights. I dare she condescend the art of the profession and the people who work tirelessly with sheer effort to engender change; moreover, you republicans wonder why we don't vote, its because of your foolish ideas, ideals, philosophies, values, ethics and character that demonstrate the present divide this country is facing.
I despise how every speaker at the RNC played extreme antagonist roles trying to demean any work Obama has contributed as a state and federal senator. Its obvious that they feel there best chance to defeat him is by rendering offensive and slandering remarks about their assumptions of what type of president he would be; moreover, how he would lead this country in the wrong direction. But somehow, they have managed to form a memory lapse about George Bush tenure so soon. Isn't that ironic?
Big Government they exclaim is what Barack wants for this country but they don't, yeah right. They want big government only to work for them while the rest of America struggles to get ahead. Example, big government is what introduced "Subprime loans" for the wealthy and they made a crap load of money and sold those bad loans to investors but now middle class and indigent persons are facing record foreclosures. So do us all a favor and for once have some guts and display a little of integrity for once.
In closing, I like to say that the republicans just don't get it and they never will until they have to live a life of uncertainty. Its easy to be naive or just be foolishly condescending when you have never experienced arduous circumstances besides what am I going to do productive with my kids' today soccer moms.
