    Massive Fire in downtown Wanaque, NJ


    On April 9, 2012 at around midnight there was a massive fire in Downtown Wanaque, NJ(also known as Haskell) that started out in one store then spread throughout three more building. The fire started in the lower level of the store. There were 250 firefighter from seven towns that were battling this massive fire. This fire left many families without their homes. There were no serious injures but there were three people that were treated for smoke inhalation and one firefighter with minor injures. The road that the fire was on was closed so that the firefighters could knock the buildings down to see if there was any hot spots.
