    Shout out request

Please give a shoutout to Mrs. Boron's Current Events class at Haines High School in Haines, Alaska. We are enjoying a beautiful spring after a record snow year.

According the the National Weather Service: Winter 2011/2012 turned out to be a record-breaker for snowfall in Haines. Haines observed approximately 360 inches of snow, shattering the old record of 309 inches set in the winter of 2006/2007 after record snowfall in November and January and higher than average snowfall in March.

On average, Haines can expect to receive an additional 2.5 inches of snow in April. However, the NWS 7-day forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the lower 50s.
