CNN PRODUCER NOTE Donnol Hem of Beaumont, Texas, writes, 'I'm not shocked by the purchase just surprised at how much Facebook paid for it. So far I can only think of it as a good thing because Facebook, like it or not, is a huge success. They know exactly what they're doing. It's much too early to think of the cons. We can only assume what will happen. I'm only a few weeks into Instagram and I can see why it's so beloved. It's an intimate network for photo junkies. A large company like Facebook will just take that intimacy away. With that said, I can understand the outrage. Think of Instagram as the hipster of social media and that dude just went mainstream.' Hem said of the photo that he 'was goofing around with my daughter with the front-facing camera. She then started making that silly face and I mimicked everything she was doing. It was a fun moment. She's a dork.'
