    Gary, IN - Looking at the rust belt

    Gary was once a thriving midwestern town built around the US steel industry. In its hey day the population rose to 178,000. In the 1970's the steel industry began to decline taking the city's pride and population with it. Now many of the once grand structures are wasting away in the cold chicagoland winters, and hot summers.
