    Sheep World New Zealand

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Dovinator says he captured these photos at Sheep World, which is a farm, petting zoo and show ground located in Warkworth, New Zealand. He says one of the highlights of Sheep World was actually being able to experience sheep shearing, which is a technique that is used to cut the wool off of sheep. He also enjoyed watching the dogs round of the sheep, a technique used by farmers to herd sheep. He says the beauty of New Zealand inspired him to send in this iReport.

    'Been here before and we've come back again - this time with our little one who enjoyed what we have 5 years ago.

     

    The place is called Sheep World in Warkworth, New Zealand. Some 65 odd kms away from Auckland. It's a farm, shop, lodge, petting zoo, cafe, and showgrounds - where local people and their dogs exhibit the town's own unique style of handling sheep.

     

    There are many 'sheep worlds' in New Zealand. But this one in Warkworth is special.
