Black Americans Don't Need To Call For the Death Penalty

America we do not need to ask for the DEATH PENALTY!!! Black people we especially don’t need to be asking for the death penalty. I’m sorry I have to talk about the past, but it’s important (please don’t put my flag in this because it’s not targeted for hate, because I’m not racist). Tons of innocent black people were killed during slavery and the civil rights movement, and did most of their killers get the death penalty? No, so we shouldn’t be asking for it now. Look I know it’s a lot of hurt and anger out there, but asking for the death penalty only shows that we only want REVENGE. We need to show that we FORGIVE George Zimmerman. That’s what Jesus would want us to do, forgive him. That’s also what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would want us to do. I don’t believe he would be happy with us calling for the death penalty. Just because Zimmerman was wrong for killing Martin, doesn’t mean we need to call for the death penalty. This was a tragic situation and we want peace and justice out of this. America has learned that stereotyping does kill and we need to stop it, so our nation can become more UNITED for our FUTURE. If we keep calling for the death penalty, then we are showing we want revenge. Revenge is never the answer, because revenge brings up hate and violence. Let’s keep being peaceful and hopefully everything will work for the good. Let’s see what kind of leaders Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are. Because if they want peace, then they don’t need to be wanting Zimmerman to get the death penalty, and they need to be telling people to calm down the violence and stop calling for the death penalty. If I have to be the one that does it then so be it. As you can see I don’t usually go with the norm anyway. America lets ban together and become more united. United We Stand and May God Bless America
