A severe tornado outbreak is possible for the Plains on Saturday

Oklahoma City, OKLAHOMA - The Storm Prediction Center is predicting a potential deadly tornado outbreak for the Plains.

There is a HIGH RISK for the development of severe thunderstorms across central Oklahoma and eastern Kansas to include Oklahoma City and Wichita. There is a MODERATE RISK for the development of severe thunderstorms across northwest Texas, central and western Oklahoma, central and eastern Kansas, southeast Nebraska, northwestern Missouri, and far southwestern Iowa.

This widespread severe weather event has the potential of being damaging, dangerous, and deadly with strong long tracked tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds. People in the HIGH and MODERATE RISK areas need to be prepared for a potentially widespread destructive severe weather event on Saturday.
