Thousands rally against ex-regime presidential candidates

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     arasquare says tens of thousands of protesters, a majority Islamists, filled the streets of Tahrir Square in mass demonstration of the current politics in Egypt. He says the mass rally blocked traffic in the area, and check points started forming in different entrances around the Square. 'Chants were loud against the military rule and against ex-regime members running for presidency,' he says.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Tens of thousands of Islamists protested in Tahrir square on Friday, April 13, against ex-regime candidates running for presidency. Revolutionary groups didn't attend the protest as they already called for a mass protest in Tahrir square on April 20 with the same demands and also due to tension with Islamists.
