Model of wreck Titanic (Footage)
- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
Made of paper and cardboard: Ruud Kats from the Netherlands made a model of the ship wreck of the Titanic. It took him twelve years. His model was on display at the National Titanic Commemoration in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.
In the footage Kats says in Dutch why he made the model: "The tragedy with the Titanic appeals to a lot of people, also to me, because the ship is a legend. In its era, the Titanic was the largest ship, and wrecked on its first journey. When I saw the film footage of Titanics wreck, when the wreck was found in 1985 I wanted to do something, and this model is the result"..
