    Aliwan Festival 2012


    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     rolandroldan says he enjoyed many aspects of this years Aliwan festival, which is a cultural festival in the Philippines, celebrating the diverse heritages and traditions in the country. He says some of the highlights included seeing the street dancing, beauty contest and best floats during the parade. He says the festival began in 2003, and also aims to promote respective Filipino regions' economy and tourism.

    Aliwan Fiesta is an annual event that gathers different cultural festivals of the Philippines. The event is dubbed as "The Mother of All Fiestas" aims to showcase the different Filipino cultures and heritage not only to the people in Metro Manila but also to the rest of the world. Aliwan is a Tagalog word for "entertainment" or "amusement.". THE PHILIPPINES GRANDEST FIESTA.
