    Duke of Gloucester visits Malta as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Royal tour.

    Duke of Gloucester was in Malta on an official visit as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Royal tour. He met with Maltese Prime Minister, Maltese President and retired servicemen while he inaugurated the refurbished War memorial in Floriana and attended a re enactment of the George Cross ward. The George Cross was awarded to the Maltese population in 1942 by the then British King for the bravery and courage of the Maltese in protecting Malta.
