    Benghazi - The road ahead

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Fawad690 shot these photos and video during an April 13 business trip to Benghazi, Libya. He describes the former anti-Gadhafi stronghold as having 'an overall sense of joy among the people and a lot of hope and passion. However, one cannot miss the uncertainty in the atmosphere as the revolutionary soldiers are not regularized yet and they don't receive any salary or benefits. Plus, there is an evident mistrust between people of eastern Libya (Benghazi) and Tripoli. They are demanding a separate federation with more autonomy in the region. They believe they started the revolution and made more sacrifices, hence they deserve more influence in shaping things for Libya in future.'
    - jmsaba, CNN iReport producer

The situation in Libya is supposed to be getting better after the removal of Gaddafi regime. However, the ripples have not settled yet as armed militia regularly parading the roads of Benghazi demanding long due independence from the influence for Tripoli. We arrived on Friday for a business assessment visit expecting things to be much settled but among the fervor and the charged crowd it seemed that the people are much at home with the new found freedom of expression and public dissent.
