The Pufferfish Up-Close
- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
The Pufferfish also known as Blowfish are generally one of the most poisonous sea creatures in the world. Their liver and skin are highly toxic to some animals when eaten but their meat is considered to be a delicacy in Japan and other Asian countries. They are very slow swimmers but it doesn't mean that their predator can easily catch them. If they are agitated, they will scare their attackers by filling their extremely elastic stomach with water until it is much larger and almost spherical in shape.
