I Agree with President Obama: “Mitt Romney Release Your Tax Returns”
According to Mitt Romney the economy is the number one issue in the upcoming presidential election. He believes that he is the most qualified to be the leader of the free world and to improve America’s economy because he is a very successful businessman. He has also stated on many occasions that he isn’t ashamed of his wealth or his success.
I believe that a review of presidential candidate’s tax return(s) is one of the ways for voters to make an informed decision before casting their votes.
President Obama called on Mitt Romney to release his past tax returns: “I think that it’s important for any candidate in public office to be as transparent as possible, to let people know who we are, what we stand for, and you know, I think that this is just carrying on a tradition that has existed throughout the modern presidency.”
Mitt’s current position is that he will only release two (2) years of tax returns (the 2010 which he released in January 2012 and the 2011 which he filed a six month extension to file) prior to the November 6, 2012, presidential election. I disagree with Romney he needs to release at least five (5) to twelve (12) years of past tax returns. Mitt Romney can’t have it both ways i.e. claiming that he is successful and be unwilling to provide proof of his wealth and be transparent as possible about the source(s) of his wealth.
WE THE VOTERS MUST DEMAND THAT ROMNEY RELEASE MORE THAN 2 YEARS OF PAST TAX RETURNS.
