Why Are We Back Tracking?
Why in the world is this topic being discussed? In 2012 there should be no difference between men and women in the work force. There should be no difference in the paychecks of men and women. Besides the obvious, the only thing I can think of, difference wise, is in the way men and women think.
From personal experience I have worked with men exclusively and worked with women exclusively for over 30 years at a major corporation. The pay was the same for women as it was for the men, depending on which job title you held. I started out as a information operator which was the lowest title this company had. I ended up as a test desk technician which was the highest job title they had (not including management).
I was 20 yrs old and a single mother after leaving an abusive husband. I didn't feel sorry for myself and I never used the "I'm a single mother feel sorry for me" excuse for anything. I worked hard and took any overtime I could because I knew I had to. I feel very proud of my life and the way I handled it.
Working mothers whether outside the home or inside the home should be treated just like working fathers. Everyone was put here on earth for a reason. Find your reason whatever it might be and just live your life and lets stop all this nonsense before we go back to the stone ages.
I have three adult children, they all turned out just fine even though I worked outside (And inside) the home.
To all stay at home working mom's, I applaud you!!
