We should NEVER have ventured there in the first place !

I see it as a waste of lives !

It is Vietnam dejavu !

Thousands of brave soldiers who will never again see their loved ones and for what ?

Sure the Afghans have been well trained by the best in the West...but more than a few have betrayed those who helped them by frequently turncoating and savagely murdering their trainers and friends ! It constitutes blatant TREACHERY!

This is what happens when freedom loving, well meaning Westerners are ordered into muslim-islamic Countries to
try and win the hearts and minds of the people who have been brainwashed from birth in the fanatical islamic
doctrine !   Western soldiers are greatly outnumbered over
there and never know who are friends or foes as the taliban and al-qaeda crawl out of ordinary houses,etc attack randomly, then dissapear among the population
again. Add IED's and it's a LOSE...LOSE end game !

I predicted years ago that when the US leaves Iraq and Afghanistan...all hell,
havoc and mayhem would occur and sure enough the
political assassinations and attacks on the powers that be have begun....even before US and Western forces
withdraw !

I further predict that just like when KIng Richard succumbed to Saladin in medieval times and surrendered British occupation of Jerusalem.....the taliban and al-qaeda will soon re-occupy Iraq, Afghanistan...you name it !

We should NEVER have gone to those terrible places for ANY reason and subjected our military personnel to the dangers therein and we NEVER should again ! Let them sort themselves out in future because other than sacrificing
our finest people.....we achieve NOTHING !

There has to be a BETTER way in this day and age, with all the high tech available to respond to terrorism and ONLY fresh approaches with special think tanks from our brightest and wisest will succeed in this respect !MIlitary strategies of the past are masochistic and belong in the garbage bins of history's lunacy !
