Shuttle Discovery takes to the sky from Kennedy Space Center for last time

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     NASA enthusiast Skinnywater captured this photo in Cocoa, Florida, of the Shuttle Discovery making it's final journey to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. 'Being in close proximity to the space center and living here for the past 40-some years, you grow a close association with the space program, whether you're employed by it or not,' he said. 'It's what your neighbors do, it's in the culture.'
    - jmsaba, CNN iReport producer

The shuttle Discovery breaks through the early morning clouds off the Space coast for the last time. Hundreds of former shuttle workers say good by to one of the vessels which has kept them employed for the last thirty years. This view is from Indian River Dr. in Cocoa, Florida.
