    God Speed Discovery!

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Rocket technician Lidell took these photos the morning of April 17 of the Shuttle Discovery making its final journey from Cape Canaveral to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. 'There's a lot of life left in the shuttles, and everyone I talked to this morning feels the same,' he said. 'We're really sad to see them stop flying. It was really bittersweet.'

After so many years of working on the space shuttle program it is a bitter sweet day to see her fly one last time. I road out to the beach (Cocoa Beach) to watch one last time. But I will look forward to visiting her new home one day soon... ;)
