Space Shuttle Final pass over Washington D.C.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Woodsfl had seen the space shuttle at the Kennedy Space Center before, but he said it was 'wonderful' to see it flying. With the end of the space program, he wonders if we should be asking what's next. 'With the end of the program, shouldn't we have something to take its place? We have the Space Station still there and how do you take care of an emergency? I think the space shuttle was probably the best for taking care of those situations,' he said.

What a beautiful and wonderful sight! This was a major surprise and treat for many vistors to D.C. today, April 17 2012. Reporting from the Mall.
