    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     For janbready, health care is a very personal issue. When she divorced her husband of 50 years, she says he kept all his social security and Medicare. janbready recently remarried and is in a tough situation: She is paying all of her Medicare, including part A. How have you been affected by the recent health care ruling? Share your story as part of the iReport Debate.

    I am 70 year old Woman , pay $716.30 a Month for MY medicare and medipack. THAT'S 8,595.60 a year for my insurance ! All this money comes out of my pocket , i have a small savings to last my life time, My husband is retired and can just barely pay his bills,( not my insurance)

     

    How can You fall in this mess like i did ?
    Be married almost 50 years. Be a good stay at home mom and raise 2 children , then raise your grandchild. Get a divorce at age 60 and a small cash settlement . Remarry at 62 to some one 8 years younger than you.
    OK now the BIG 65 birthday and trip to get Medicare started. Guess what .
    After my husband working for 45 years and telling me his wife would NEVER work out side the house . He gets medicare free. I pay $565.40medicare plus $150.40 medipack ! That's $716.30 a Month , $8595.60 a year !

     

    I can't afford NOT to have it !! But cant afford it eater. Since i got a small cash settlement with the divorce, Medicare can not help me because i have some money to live on . I will be lucky if it last 10 years. Then i will be 77 and have NOTHING.......O yes , i will have something , Then i can have Medicare, Because my New Husband will be 65 then. What A world. This is far from right !!!!! Please see if you can help me.
