    Oklahoma City Bombing Anniversary

Today is the 17th anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma that killed 168 people, including 19 children.

My family had the pleasure of living in Oklahoma City for 6 years and it's a great place. Most people who aren't from Oklahoma say - Oh, we've driven through it on our way to somewhere else. Well, you should stop and stay for a while! It has so much to offer - professional sports, museums, parks, great restaurants, and more. If you only have time for a brief stop, you must go to the Bombing Memorial. It will take your breath away and leave an imprint on your heart.

Oklahoma City is a big city with a small-town feel. Everybody has a connection to a victim, survivor or first responder in the bombing. When the bombing happened, I was in high school. I am an honorary Okie now, but on that day in 1995, we were all Oklahomans and we will never forget.
