CNN PRODUCER NOTE     MelissaF says when she hears people say that government should not help with student loans she laughs. 'If government shouldn't help with student loans and they shouldn't help with healthcare, then what is the point of government?' she asks. 'The government is supposed to be by the people for the people, and you need educated people or else we are just going to become minions for the government,' she says. MelissaF says she is glad President Obama is making student loans an issue. 'I think Obama empathizes for people with student loans because he had student loans too.' She says if Congress allows student loan rates to double by summer than the country will find itself in financial trouble. 'If they double rates more people are going to default on their loans and more people are going to give up,' she says.
