Today is the birthday of Rome. 2765 years that are counted from its traditional date of foundation, 21 April 753 BC, set by the Roman historian Varro.
Today and tomorrow, the Capital offers visitors the opportunity to take part in many events.
In the photographs the historical re-enactment group "Pactvm" recreates, in the the Villa Celimontana scenario, a typical Roman camp, with daily activities and ceremonies, dances and fights and historical representations.
In a charming atmosphere that recreates the habits and even the recipes of foods typical of the Roman period, while the appearing of re-enactment group explain to visitors the clothes and the peculiarities of ancient Rome.
